Mental health is critical to our ability to form strong relationships, cultivate personal well-being, contribute to our community, and succeed professionally. Despite the central role that mental health plays in all our lives, its importance is often under appreciated. The stigma that often surrounds mental illness can cause individuals and families to struggle alone. It can also prevent the wider community from recognizing the extent and nature of mental health challenges. Building understanding and developing solutions require open discussion.

To that end, the Greater Monadnock Collaborative, in partnership with the Friends of the Cheshire County Recovery Court and Monadnock Family Services, will host a morning of education with three esteemed speakers:
- Phil Wyzik, President and CEO of Monadnock Family Services, the community mental health center which, for over 100 years, has been a source of health and hope for people of the region.
- John Broderick, retired NH Supreme Court Chief Justice, will speak of his personal experience with the challenges of mental illness as well as his 7-year journey traveling across the state speaking about the issues of mental health in 360 schools to over 115,000 students.
- Tina Nadeau, retired Chief Justice of the NH Superior Courts, will speak of the effect of mental illness upon the judicial system, with particular emphasis on the state drug courts. Her efforts in developing the drug courts are renowned across the state and the nation.
If you or someone you know are experiencing a mental health emergency, contact 988 anytime day or night for immediate assistance. Help is available 24/7.
