4th Annual Floating Lanterns Festival

Monadnock Peer Support is honored to announce that we will be hosting our 4th annual Floating Lantern Festival on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 6pm to 9pm at Stonewall Farm in Keene, NH. The Floating Lantern Festival has quickly become one of our community’s most meaningful traditions. As dusk falls, hundreds of lanterns are released onto the water, each carrying messages, prayers, and wishes of hope. The sight of the lanterns drifting together is both breathtaking and deeply symbolic, reminding us that although our struggles may feel heavy when carried alone, together we create light, strength, and connection. This festival is not only a fundraiser, but also a powerful expression of unity and compassion for those facing mental health challenges in our community.

We invite you to join us on this special evening, release a lantern, share your story, and stand alongside others who believe in creating a world where no one feels isolated in their journey. Your presence and your support help us illuminate a path of healing, understanding, and kindness. At Monadnock Peer Support, our mission is to provide mental health support for individuals seeking wellness through a mutually supportive peer environment. We believe in building a society where mental health differences are universally accepted and understood, and where stigma has no place. Our vision is of a community where people collaborate to lift one another up, ensuring that no one feels ashamed, judged, or left behind because of their mental health.

At Monadnock Peer Support Agency, we strive to provide mental health support for individuals seeking wellness through a mutually supportive peer community. As an agency, our desired impact is a world where mental health differences are universally accepted and understood and the communities where we live and work, collaborate to reduce stigma, with the result that no one feels alone, ashamed, or judged for their mental health struggles. 

Please join us as we decorate, light and float lanterns at dusk! This is a family friendly event!

• Lanterns are for sale for $15 each or you can pre-purchase for $10
• Bring a picnic supper, chair and /or a blanket and a flashlight
• There will be limited food options for sale
• Music, dancing and fun!
• There will be plenty of markers and stencils to decorate your lantern. Feel free to add a special message
• Free face painting
• Free horse drawn wagon rides
• Yard games
• Axe-throwing
• Obstacle Course with Steve DeMasco's Martial Arts
• Demo Classes with Everglow Wellness
• Demos from Flying Gravity Circus
• Maker's Market with local crafters
• Free maker kits for the Kids from Home Depot
• At dusk, we will have a launching ceremony when everyone launches their lit lanterns into the brook at the same time
• After the launching ceremony we will have a showing of the movie Tangled outside (weather permitting)

When you arrive at the farm, there will be two registration tables. One for those who purchased lanterns ahead of the event and those purchasing the day of the event.
