Workshop Description: You may know that the board and the ED each have specific responsibilities that they must carry out in order for the organization to thrive. But did you know that a board chair/ED partnership that invites open collaboration is the secret to success? While focused on the mission from different perspectives, this partnership is critical.
In this workshop, we will:
Volunteer board members and executive directors have a responsibility to ensure the relevance, impact, and financial sustainability of the nonprofits they lead. Each has specific duties that they are responsible for: Boards for the strategic, fiduciary, and legal oversight of the organization, and ED’s to establish organizational culture, manage strategic direction, and lead day-to-day operations. The Essential Nonprofit Leadership Learning Series is designed to help leaders understand and carry out their roles, foster and maximize strong relationships, and to attract the best leaders to their cause.
