Lamb Jam: Food, Music, Beer, Farming, Fun!
Get ready for a day of delicious food, live entertainment, and old-fashioned farm fun at Lamb Jam! Plus, for one day only, taste Stonewall Farm pasture-raised, regeneratively grazed lamb prepared by some of the Monadnock Region’s favorite chefs and restaurants. Celebrate the return of livestock to Stonewall Farm with a unique culinary experience featuring lamb tasting stations hosted by local chefs and restaurants. Sample Stonewall Farm lamb prepared in a variety of creative and mouthwatering ways, discover new recipes, meet the chefs, and learn how easy and delicious local lamb can be. Recipe cards will be available so you can take the inspiration home, and purchase Stonewall Farm lamb from our Farm Store to recreate your favorite dishes. Participating Restaurants: Granita Enoteca, Mama Maria’s Gyros and More, The Chappy Kitchen, and Keene on Cookies will be preparing lamb meatballs, nachos, leg of lamb, and more to come! Beyond the food, Lamb Jam is packed with activities for all ages: Live Border Collie Herding Demonstrations – Front Pasture 1:00 pm and 3:15 pm Watch skilled working dogs from Morse Brook Farm with shepherd Liz Shaw demonstrate the incredible partnership between dog, shepherd, and Stonewall’s flock. Live Apiary Tour with Monadnock Beekeepers Association – Down dirt road to Gardens, 2:00, 2:30 only See where Stonewall Farm’s delicious honey comes from and take some home with you from the Farm Store. Horse-Drawn Wagon Rides – Continuously running throughout the event. Purchase tickets in Farm Store, first come first serve! Take a relaxing 15 min. ride through the shaded farm trails behind a team of draft horses with Iron Kettle Farm. $10/person (age 10 and up), $5/person (age 9 and under), Free for kids aged 2 and under. Live Music – Throughout the Day Enjoy local bands, Dragonfly (playing 12 – 2) and The Riff (playing 2:30-4:30), the perfect soundtrack for a summer afternoon on the farm. Wood Turning Demonstrations – Continuously running throughout the event. Watch talented artisan Doug Finkle transform raw wood into beautiful works of art. Wool & Fiber Arts – Continuously running throughout the event. Learn how wool is processed from fleece to finished product through demonstrations, hands-on activities, and crafts with Stonewall Farm. Knitting & Weaving demonstrations throughout the day with Briana Cashman of Owl Hill Homestead – Purchase their freshly baked sour dough bread. Spinning: Walking Wheel demonstrations with Marie Elena of Whispering Wool Farm Lawn Games & Family Activities The Cheshire County Historical Society will be hosting 1700’s board and lawn games for all to play! Plus check out some Farming History museum boards for a glimpse into 250 Years of Farming in the Monadnock Region. Challenge friends and family to classic lawn games like cornhole and sack racing, and enjoy a day of outdoor fun.
