Chief Justice Nadeau has received many awards recognizing her work to advocate for those individuals involved in the justice system who have mental illness and substance use disorder issues.
Justice Nadeau is an inaugural member of the Council on Criminal Justice and a member of the CCJ’s COVID-19 and Criminal Justice Task Force, a board member of the National Association of Drug Court Professionals and the New England Association of Recovery Court Professionals.
As Chief Justice, Nadeau led the effort in 2006 to open the first drug court in Rockingham County, where she presided as the drug court judge for four years.
