Volunteer Program Leadership

  • Lead the development, coordination, and ongoing improvement of a mission-driven volunteer program that supports all areas of The Community Kitchen.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging volunteer experience that reflects the organization’s values and strengthens community connections.
  • Partner across departments to anticipate and meet volunteer needs while aligning skills and interests with organizational priorities.
  • Oversee the effective use and continuous improvement of the organization’s online volunteer management system to support recruitment, scheduling, communication, and data tracking.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community groups, businesses, and partners to expand volunteer engagement and support community-led initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of appreciation, feedback, and continuous learning within the volunteer program.
Guest Services Coordination
  • Support the delivery of consistent, respectful, and accessible guest services that uphold dignity and promote food security.
  • Help ensure that systems related to guest registration and food access programs are functioning effectively and used consistently across the organization.
  • Collaborate with staff to strengthen the organization’s ability to connect guests with relevant resources and services.
  • Contribute to ongoing evaluation and improvement of the guest experience.
Community Engagement & Collaboration
  • Serve as a connector between The Community Kitchen and the broader community, representing the organization in outreach, partnerships, and collaborative initiatives.
  • Participate in community networks and share relevant insights that strengthen organizational impact.
Organizational Support
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment by supporting operations as needed, including occasional front office support and data tracking.
  • Assist in gathering and sharing information that demonstrates the impact of volunteer and guest services programs.
