We are now accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant at our Parks and Recreation Department! This year-round position’s schedule is 20 hours per week with the option of either 10:30am-2:30pm or 12pm-4pm Monday through Friday. The pay rate for this part-time position is $21.97- $27.38 per hour. As an Administrative Assistant in the Parks and Recreation Department, you will work in a friendly office environment, supporting the department with a variety of tasks including revenue collection and reporting and program registration assistance among many other duties. You will be the first person customers see when entering the building or when calling in, providing an excellent first impression and ensuring that visitors and callers have a positive experience!
Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, plus at least one year of experience in a business office, or equivalent training. To be successful in this position, in addition to excellent public service skills, one must possess a high degree of organization and the ability to maintain confidentiality. The ideal candidate will also be computer savvy, and proficient with word processing and spreadsheet software.
