Monadnock Community Hospital Announces Appointment of Richard Scheinblum as Next President & CEO
Monadnock Community Hospital’s Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that Richard Scheinblum has been selected as the organization’s next President and Chief Executive Officer, following a comprehensive national search. Scheinblum will officially assume the role in February.
The Board’s decision comes after an extensive and highly competitive search process that involved national outreach and multiple in-depth interviews with a strong pool of qualified candidates. Throughout the process, the Board remained committed to identifying a leader with the experience, vision, and dedication needed to guide MCH into the future.
Scheinblum, who holds a Master’s in Business Administration, brings more than 31 years of healthcare experience, including over 25 years at MCH in key executive and operational roles. Currently serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, he has also held positions as Financial Controller and Director of Perioperative Services. His leadership has helped strengthen MCH’s operational and financial performance, expand access to essential services, and guide long-term planning.
“Rich has been an invaluable leader at MCH for decades, and his deep understanding of our organization, our employees, and our community makes him uniquely qualified to lead us forward,” said Cyndee McGuire, current President & CEO. “His commitment to rural healthcare, his collaborative approach, and his dedication to our mission give me great confidence in the future of MCH under his leadership.”
Scheinblum is widely recognized for his expertise in healthcare financing and community partnerships. He is also deeply engaged in regional and statewide healthcare advocacy, currently serving on the Boards of Greater Monadnock Collaborative, Monadnock United Way, and the New Hampshire Hospital Association.
“After a rigorous search, the Board is confident that Rich is the right leader to guide MCH through the challenges and opportunities ahead,” said Paul Faber, Chair of MCH’s Board of Trustees. “His long-standing commitment to this hospital and community, as well as his proven leadership and vision, will help ensure that MCH continues to thrive as a high-quality, compassionate, and financially strong healthcare provider.”
Scheinblum will continue to work closely with Cyndee McGuire, who has successfully led the organization as President and CEO since February 2014, throughout the transition period.
